Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you give us, and the data created when a COX TPX wristband is tapped. Last updated 7 August 2026.

Who we are

COX TPX is an NFC wearable platform operated by Theprodx, based in Cairo, Egypt. This policy covers our website, the customer account portal, and the pages a wristband opens.

Information you give us

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and name. Your password is kept in a protected form that we cannot read.

Content you create. Anything you put on a card is stored so it can be shown when your wristband is tapped: your display name, photo, contact details, social links, and any custom links you add. You decide what goes on a card, and a published card is public to anyone who opens its link.

Messages you send us. If you email us or use a help option inside your account, we keep what you send so we can reply.

Information created when a wristband is tapped

Each tap records a small amount of information so you can see how your wristband is used:

the approximate country and city, the browser and device type, a randomly generated device identifier stored in a cookie, which destination was opened, and when.

We do not store the visitor's IP address itself — only the approximate location derived from it. The device identifier is a random string; it is not linked to a name, and it lets us tell a repeat tap from a new one without identifying the person.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the service to work: one to keep you signed in, and one holding the random device identifier described above. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party ad or tracking networks.

How we use information

To run your account and show your cards; to open the right destination when a wristband is tapped; to show you your own tap statistics; to reply to you; and to keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who else can see it

COX TPX works with trusted service providers that help us operate, protect, and improve the service — such as secure data storage, email delivery, hosting, and technical support services. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services to us, and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to help keep users and the service safe.

Keeping information

We keep account and card information for as long as your account is active. Tap records are kept so your statistics stay meaningful over time. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your account and card content.

Security

Connections to COX TPX are encrypted, your password is kept in a form we cannot read, and access to customer information is restricted to the people who need it. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to — but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

You can view and edit your account details and card content at any time from your account. You can change what your wristband opens whenever you like. To request a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account, email us and we will act on it.

Children and family use

COX TPX is not intended for children to create accounts or submit personal information on their own. If a wristband is used for a child, family, school, club, or event experience, it should be set up and managed by a parent, guardian, organizer, or other responsible adult.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate adult involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without permission, contact us at Hello@theprodx.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on the site.
